The Reading Cushion Party

Book a Reading Cushion Party and learn to make your very own reading cushion! Perfect for snuggling up with a good book, or maybe getting comfy watching a film at a sleepover. Before the party, you can choose from a range of suitable fabrics for your cushion and they will be cut ready for you to sew up on the day.

​No experience is necessary as all guests will be taught the skills they need on the day.
The minimum age for all party guests is 8 but there is no maximum age.
If they're ready and willing to join in, they will have a great time.
Bookings are for a minimum of 5 people and a maximum of 8 people. Numbers will be confirmed at the time of booking, with payment required at that time to secure your party.

Your party booking is for up to 3.5 hours. Please allow around 2.5 hours to construct your reading cushion (though this will vary depending on skill so please be prepared to allow a little extra time) . With your remaining hour, you are welcome to make use of the tea room for party food (not provided), including the use of the vintage china tea sets. There is a kettle and a small fridge, but no facilities to warm food. This can be used as 15 minutes for drinks and nibbles on arrival, 30 minutes for food in the middle of the party, and 15 minutes for drinks and nibbles at the end to allow for people to share their makes and be collected, if necessary - though these timings can be adjusted to suit your personal requirements.

Parties can be booked at the following times:
Fridays (start time between 10am and 6pm)
Saturdays (start time between 2pm and 6pm)
Sundays (start time between 10am and 4pm)
