Fabric "Paper" Chain Workshop

Service Description

Whether you have lots of sewing experience or this would be your first time on a sewing machine, come along to this Fabric "Paper" Chain Workshop in The Auld Atelier and leave with a Christmassy chain about a metre long that you have made yourself. More sustainable than tinsel and disposable paper chains, you can bring out your chain every year and perhaps start a tradition of adding to it each time. You will take away with you the pattern and instructions to add to it at home, if you wish. Each workshop should take approximately 60-90 minutes but this is dependent on your current sewing experience. If you've never sewn before, you will first spend some time familiarising yourself with all of the equipment before being guided through the projects with a fully qualified and experienced sewing teacher. If you are comfortable with a bit of sewing, you may find you can complete the work more quickly. If you need a bit more time, you are welcome to stay for as long as there is a spare machine. Whilst there is no maximum age, the minimum age is 8 years old. At this time, an adult must remain with their child throughout the workshop - but this may mean you'll pick up some hints and tips for yourself too... Adults can book to work alongside their children, if they'd like, but this is not necessary. Whilst the standard cancellation & refund policy applies, we will try to accommodate you if you need to make a late change. We cannot guarantee that this will be possible though.
