Dignity Bags - Maggie's Fundraiser
Make dignity bags to hold a post-surgery drain, giving more dignity at a difficult time
Service Description
After a mastectomy or lumpectomy, it may be necessary to leave hospital with a drain under your arm to help with your healing. A Dignity Bag helps to hold the drain discretely, giving you more dignity at a difficult time. Over the first two weeks in April, come along to The Auld Atelier in Paisley to make two dignity bags for charity. One is a reversible cotton bag, and the second is in vinyl to wear in the shower. The workshop is open to adults and children over the age of 8, and you don't need any sewing experience to take part. At the end of the session, your dignity bags will be kept with all of the other Maggie's items to be donated to Maggie's Forth Valley, Maggie's Glasgow However, should they be overwhelmed with the volume of donations - they will be donated to other relevant charities, hospitals or groups instead. In addition to your dignity bags, all profits from the price of your workshop will also be split evenly between Maggie's Forth Valley and Maggie's Glasgow. Various times are available each day, so scroll through the calendar below to check availability and get booked in. Together, let's see how much we can raise to help Maggie's continue their wonderful work
